Billy’s Hollywood Screen Kiss
Sean Hayes’ film debut as Billy - just a regular gay guy looking for love and longing to connect in this crazy world - shows us exactly the star he would become. He falls hard for Gabriel … is he or isn’t he. And let Ta tell you any film that features the Goddess Holly Woodlawn and some of mah girlfriends in fabulous outfits gets five stars in mah book! A well done, superbly acted, fun, feel good movie.
The road to romance is anything but straight in this delightfully campy comedy that takes a hilarious look at the 90’s. Billy Collier, a handsome goateed photographer, has dreams of success in his viewfinder with no love in the picture. But all that changes when he meets and falls for handsome “is-he-or-isn’t-he” coffeehouse waiter Gabriel (Brad Rowe, an eerie Brad Pitt look-alike who may or may not be gay himself, and asks him to pose for a series of photos recreating great Hollywood screen kisses. Gaining support from his helpful roommate Georgina (Meredith Scott Lynn), Billy tries mightily to win the heart of his dreamy object of affection. We follow Billy’s often frantic attempts to figure out whether Gabriel might be interested in him romantically. The highpoint is a hilarious scene with the two men in bed together. See what develops in this warm and witty film.
